A little wild by nature. Wispy Teardrop Earrings showcase the natural hair of the hide, with each pair cut to let its color, texture, and movement take center stage.
Each pair begins with a locally sourced hair-on hide that can be traced back to the individual animal and the farm where it was raised. Each hide is naturally tanned by our local tannery partner using ingredients from the land, then cut and assembled by hand in the Landmade studio.
Because the color and markings come entirely from the animal, no two pairs will be exactly alike.
Currently available in Auburn: a warm, reddish-brown. As new hides become available, additional naturally occurring colors and markings will be added to the collection.
Each hide is a finite material, with its own variation in color, texture, and markings. Because we work in small batches, each color is available only while that particular leather supply lasts. Once it's gone, it will return when another hide becomes available in that color.
